The Thurso Bucherons overcame a good performance by Lachute third baseman Yoshiharu Watanabe to knock off Lachute, 8-4, at Bucherons Grounds. Watanabe was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Aldo Montoya. His record now stands at 2-0. The right-hander went 7.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits for the Bucherons. Jeremy Zinck closed out the game, earning his 2nd save.

Timely hitting helped the Bucherons beat the Supercalandres. Prime example: the two-out triple Fred Merkle registered in the bottom of the seventh. Facing Wing-tat Tsao, Merkle gave his team the lead, 6-4, when he hit a 2-run triple.

Thurso manager Joey Stockman commended his team for "putting the pedal to the metal."
