The Takasaki Sakura picked up a win at Sakura Park, knocking off the Aomori Hotaru, 8-3. On the mound for Takasaki was right-hander Luis González. He played a key role in the triumph. With the win, Takasaki lifts its record to 12-9.

Ginés Barreras hit a 2-run triple off Atsuhiro Shimabukuro in the bottom of the first, which put the Sakura in front, 3-1. Barreras had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.

"Luis gets on the mound and he competes and that's what you want," said Takasaki manager Alejandro Rodríguez.
