Sudbury took on Sault Ste. Marie in front of a lively crowd.

Due in large part to right fielder Bibiano Hernández, the Sudbury Meteors sunk the Sault Ste. Marie Rapids, 6-3. Hernández went 2-3 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Rapids fall to 7-12 and continue their sputtering start to the 1914 season.

Sudbury grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Hernández hit a 2-run home run off Oliverio Rohena. His 2nd home run of the season put the Meteors out in front, 4-3.

After the game, Hernández refused to speak to a reporter for the Sudbury Daily. "You've accused me of throwing teammates under the bus," he said. "So, excuse me if I decline to answer your questions."
