Western League Selects #1 Starter in August Tuesday, September 1st , 1914 No doubt about it! Cincinnati starter Frank Harrison earned his Western League Pitcher of the Month award. He made that very clear as he mowed his way through league hitters in August. During the month Harrison chalked up a 4-0 record with a 1.42 ERA. The Reds star made 4 starts and surrendered 23 hits in 31.2 innings. He struck out 19 and walked 13. So far this season, Harrison has a record of 14-8 with 96 strikeouts and 55 walks in 177.1 innings and a 2.03 ERA. |
