RF Murphy Lands P4,260 Deal with Cincinnati Friday, September 25th , 1914 The Cincinnati Reds presented 38-year-old veteran Danny Murphy to the media today as they finalized a P4,260-a-year deal that brings the right fielder to town for 1 year. Murphy has a reputation as one of the smartest guys in the clubhouse and Cincinnati officials hope they can get as much out of Murphy in the dugout as they can on the field. In his career, Murphy is batting .284 with 1079 hits, 206 doubles, 80 triples and 25 home runs. |
