Escultores Dominate, Sweep Campeonato Interdivisional Friday, September 18th , 1914 After their 4-3 win today at Recinto Deportivo de Holguin over the Holguin Pericos, the Las Tunas Escultores will advance to the Campeonato de las Ligas. Las Tunas won the series by a 3-0 margin. Leading the way for the Escultores was center fielder Lino Martinez, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP. "I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus." The Las Tunas Escultores will play against the Trinidad Tabacaleros in the next round. Trinidad won their series against the Bayamo Rafagas 3 games to 0. The Campeonato de las Ligas schedule will be announced after the Campeonato Interdivisional finishes.
