Jacobo Earns July's Top Batter Prize in LN Saturday, August 1st , 1914 Primitivo Jacobo, the Culiacan Galanes first baseman, certainly made his name known to Norte hurlers over the last month. He consistently introduced himself with hit after hit and came away with July's Norte Batter of the Month award. He slashed and bashed his way to a .298 batting average while tallying up 1 home run, 17 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He also worked LN pitchers for 14 walks and a .385 on-base percentage. For the year, Jacobo is batting .287 with 1 home run, 34 RBIs and 58 runs scored. |
