Nayarit Eliminated from Playoff Contention Friday, August 14th , 1914 They put up a valiant effort, but the Nayarit Mariachis didn't have what it takes to make the Liga Nacional Mexicana playoffs in 1914. The club was officially eliminated from postseason qualification today. "Sucks," said Mariachis starting pitcher Yohann Bessé. Nayarit last appeared in the postseason in 1908. This is their 6th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 12 times in their 14-year history. |
