Acapulco, Merida Confirm Swap Tuesday, October 27th , 1914 BNN has learned the Acapulco Aztecas have reportedly worked out a deal with the Merida Trovadores. Sources close to the Aztecas indicated that a trade has been reached in principle where 31-year old SS Nuño Martínez will be swapped to Acapulco with 28-year old RHP Farón Pedroza heading to Merida. Neither organization would comment on the report, saying it was club policy not to speak about a trade until it was finalized. At 28 years of age, Pedroza has put up these numbers in his career: 222 appearances, a 21-17 record in 321.2 innings, and 177 strikeouts. He has 49 saves and a career 2.13 ERA. Lifetime Martínez has compiled a .290 batting average and collected 1087 hits, 15 home runs and 422 RBIs. |
