Mahoney Beguiles Aberystwyth Monday, June 22nd , 1914 Sloan Mahoney was impressive at Ballpark of Cardiff in the 8-0 Cardiff Arcadians victory over the Aberystwyth Dragons. The Cardiff pitcher mystified the Dragons in a strong performance, giving up 4 hits and totaling 2 walks and 10 strikeouts. "Sloan had them chasing a lot of pitches and talking to themselves," Cardiff manager Mateo Rodas. "It was something special to watch."
