Bards Get Zilch in 4-0 Loss to Gandelows, López Tuesday, August 18th , 1914 José López hurled a fine game for the Limerick Gandelows at Bards Field, holding the Belfast Bards to 2 hits in a shutout win. "When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Limerick manager Brian Sapsford said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is." The left-hander had 5 strikeouts and no walks in the 4-0 victory. "An outstanding job," Belfast manager Germán Alvares said. "We couldn't get anything going.
