Treviño at His Best, Whips Air Marshals Thursday, July 30th , 1914 Ranulfo Treviño led the Hamilton Hammers to a shutout victory, 4-0, over the Nipissing Air Marshals at Hamilton Stadium. "My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Treviño recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location." Treviño yielded 4 hits and had 9 strikeouts and no walks in the standout performance. "I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Nipissing manager Jerry Kane said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching." This year, Treviño has recorded a 12-9 mark. In 25 starts he has fanned 111 batters in 179.1 innings with a 4.07 ERA.
