Llanos Holds Halifax Scoreless Wednesday, September 9th , 1914 The Halifax Batteries manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Quebec City Dons. The Batteries were overpowered by Quebec City starter Radamés Llanos, who hurled his club to victory, 7-0. "It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Antonio Castro said. Over 9 innings, Llanos blanked Halifax on 3 hits with 3 walks and 12 strikeouts. "I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Llanos said.
