Martínez Shuts Out Steinbach, 10-0 Monday, September 7th , 1914 Torcuato Martínez shut down the Steinbach Mennonites, blanking them, 10-0, on 1 hit, ringing up 5 strikeouts and allowing no walks. The Saskatoon Willows pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on. "I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Martínez said after the game. "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there." So far this year, Martínez has made 10 starts, tossed 67.2 innings, struck out 26 batters and walked 25.
