Tipping Wins WFBA's Best Bat Award Saturday, August 1st , 1914 When Lester Tipping stepped up to the plate in July he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Western Association Batter of the Month award. The young Los Lunas third baseman posted a .337 batting average with 8 home runs, 21 RBIs and scored 23 runs. Tipping also worked pitchers for 8 walks to post a .393 on-base percentage. This season, Tipping is batting .283 with 97 hits, 11 home runs, 43 RBIs, .321 OBP and has scored 45 runs. |
