Taos Stymied by López Saturday, August 1st , 1914 It was not a good day at the plate for the Taos Artists. They came up empty when it mattered against Albuquerque Dukes left-hander Próspero López, who scattered 5 hits across 9 innings and held the Artists scoreless. "We had 5 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Taos manager Mateo Avina said later. López chalked up 7 strikeouts and 4 walks in the 3-0 Dukes win.
