Maes Sticks It to WFBA Pitchers Monday, August 17th , 1914 There was no one hotter in the Western Association last week as Louis Maes attacked enemy pitching with a vengeance to collect the Player of the Week Award. The 20-year-old Prescott second baseman batted .481 with 13 hits in 27 at-bats, 2 home runs and 5 RBIs. Maes is batting .231 this year with 19 home runs, 45 RBIs and 56 runs scored.
