Torrid July Gets de la Cruz NNEA #1 Batter Trophy Saturday, August 1st , 1914 Ernesto de la Cruz put together a good July to earn the Northern New England Association Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Bangor officials that he belongs on the big league roster.
