Brattleboro Clinches Wild Card Tuesday, August 18th , 1914 The manager of the Brattleboro Melodeons is reminding the city of Brattleboro to "keep the faith" as the team heads into the playoffs as a wild card team. "We believe in ourselves and we need our fans to believe in us too," said Larry Manley. "We know we can get Brattleboro rocking with a great run in the playoffs." It remains to be seen just how deep the Melodeons will be able to go in the playoffs, but confidence appears to be high. "We've got the team to win a championship, I firmly believe that," said starting pitcher Luis Hernández. If the team is successful, it would be the 2nd Baseball League of New England championship in franchise history. |
