Marín Batters Griswold Big Time Sunday, September 13th , 1914 It was a downpour of hits for Roberto Marín at Playground of the Night's Children. The Burlington Lightermen left fielder tore into Griswold for 6 hits in 6 at-bats to pace the Lightermen to a rain-delayed 9-3 victory. Griswold manager Eufemio Ahumada bemoaned his pitching, speculating his club got flustered by Marín's big day. "He was beating us and we stopped locating well," he said. "That makes you get behind in the count and you can't do that when a guy is hot like Marín was today. Not to take anything away from him, but bad location was the story of the ballgame."
