Rose Stockings McCormick Snags EGLA Player of the Week Monday, September 7th , 1914 Mentor fans have something to crow about today as Mentor left fielder Moose McCormick nabbed the Eastern Great Lakes Association Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said McCormick. He posted a .520 average (13-for-25) this past week with 4 home runs, 6 RBIs, and 10 runs scored. Currently McCormick is batting .283 with 35 home runs and 72 RBIs. |
