Liga José Padilla Names Top Player Monday, July 13th , 1914 Ciriaco Lomas stepped up to the plate in a big way last week and today he took home the Liga José Padilla Player of the Week honors. The Juncos first baseman ripped opposing pitchers for 15 hits in 30 at-bats and 2 home runs. He put together a sizzling .500 batting average as he knocked in 4 runs and scored 9 times. Thus far this season, Lomas is hitting .339 with 4 home runs, 19 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 43 hits in 127 at-bats and has played in 34 games. |
