Santa Isabel Hopeless Against Chávez Tuesday, August 4th , 1914 Héctor Chávez handcuffed the Santa Isabel Petisos at Parquecito de Guayanilla, coming away with a 5-hit, complete game shutout. "I had everything working for me out there," the Guayanilla Tormentas left-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted." With his stuff working, Chávez had little trouble with the Petisos and led the Tormentas to victory, 4-0. He recorded 6 strikeouts and no walks in an impressive performance. This season, Chávez has a 8-2 mark in 14 starts with a 2.33 ERA. He has given up 100 hits in 115.2 innings, struck out 83 and issued 32 walks.
