Zukic Rockets 3 HR Against Arroyo Thursday, August 27th , 1914 Fans are still buzzing after Salinas whipped the Arroyo Conmutadores by the score of 11-6 at Parquecito de Salinas. Ratko Zukic smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the catcher bashed out 4 hits in 4 at-bats, had 4 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Zukic said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Zukic said. "Three is just... wow." Ratko Zukic singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Tommy Simmons in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Tommy Simmons in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Jesús Romero in the 7th. This year, Zukic is batting .341 with 8 home runs. |
