Yamamoto Bashes 5 Base Hits Tuesday, September 1st , 1914 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Naranjito's 7-6 win over Morovis, right fielder Abel Yamamoto was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Parquecito de Naranjito. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Yamamoto said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Abel Yamamoto doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
