Abeja Slams 5 Hits for Guayama Monday, September 7th , 1914 Guayama left fielder Claudio Abeja had a day to remember, 5-for-6 against the Patillas Panaderos at Parquecito de Patillas as the Aprendices picked up a win, 5-4. "He was patient up there," Guayama skipper Samuel Vega told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Abeja has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Claudio Abeja struck out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 10th and hit an RBI double in the 12th.
