Tokunaga Goes 5-for-5 Against Cidra Tuesday, September 22nd , 1914 Kazuhiko Tokunaga was at the head of a Jayuya Picachos hit parade at Parquecito de Jayuya. The 21-year-old went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, but it was the Cidra Sabaneros that marched off with the 9-4 win. "We didn't have it today," griped Picachos skipper Harry Koons following the game. "Kazuhiko did fine, but as a team, we didn't do it with the bats and we didn't do it pitching." Tokunaga did more than fine, dominating the Sabaneros at the plate during his record-making 5-for-5 performance. "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging catcher told reporters. "When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." Kazuhiko Tokunaga hit a two-run home run off Lalo Velasco in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
