Kralj Goes Deep 3 Times Monday, June 8th , 1914 Rijeka Torpeda first baseman Cedomil Kralj had a magnificent game against the Praha Chasomjeritchi, rocketing three balls out of Jadransko Stadion to help the Torpeda win, 8-1. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Kralj went 3-for-3 with 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Rijeka manager Don Meyer said later. "Seems like Cedomil found his home run stroke today." Cedomil Kralj hit a solo-shot off Patrik Muller in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Patrik Muller in the 3rd and hit a three-run home run off Patrik Muller in the 5th. This year, Kralj is hitting .238 with 40 hits, 8 home runs, 29 RBIs and has scored 17 runs. |
