Florido Best WLK Starter in June Wednesday, July 1st , 1914 Alba Florido's been around the league long enough to appreciate the honor he received today. After going 5-1 in June, the 28-year-old Verona hurler has been named Westlicher Kreis Pitcher of the Month. He fanned 42 in 51.2 innings, logged an ERA of 1.92 and allowed opponents to hit .204 against him. To date, Florido has a 13-6 mark in 19 starts with a 2.41 ERA. He has given up 133 hits in 168 innings, struck out 116 and issued 40 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .219 batting average against him. |
