Postseason Bid Ends for Kagoshima Wednesday, August 5th , 1914 A late-season playoff push is not in the cards for the Kagoshima Teitoku. The club today was mathematically knocked out of playoff contention. "There are a lot of long faces around right now," said Teitoku manager Cristián Morales. "You know in your head that every year, most teams in baseball have to go through this, but it still hurts when you realize you've lost your shot at a title." This is the 3rd time in a row that the Teitoku have missed the playoffs.Their last playoff appearance was in 1911. |
