Carranza 3-for-5 to Light Privateers Fuse
The Sherbrooke Privateers topped the Laval Insulaires, 14-7, with designated hitter Carlos Carranza playing a big role. Carranza went 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 for the Privateers in the win. The second-place Privateers sport a record of 64-46.

With Sherbrooke leading 3-1 in the bottom of the second, Carranza hit a sinker from Tristán Guerrero for a 2-run double. It was his 18th double of the season and put the Privateers ahead, 5-1.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Carranza told the Sherbrooke News.
