Lynx Heading to Championship of the Frontier
Mitchell Beckwith has led his Prescott Lynx to a Pennant Championship Series victory.

Prescott's second baseman was named series MVP after playing an instrumental role in winning the series 4-1 and eliminating the Abilene Preachers.

"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "It's simple what I did this series."

The club advanced to the Championship of the Frontier with a 4-2 triumph at Prescott Stadium in the deciding game.

Beckwith was red hot in the series, which saw him put up a .350 average, as well as 1 home runs and 2 RBI.

The Prescott Lynx will play against the Nacogdoches Roaches in the next round. Nacogdoches won their series against the San Marcos Cadavers 4 games to 1. The Championship of the Frontier schedule will be announced after the Pennant Championship Series finishes.
