Vásquez Collects Hit Number 1500
With one swing of the bat, Francisco Vásquez put his name in the league record books yesterday at Estadio Municipal de Arecibo. It was his 1500th career hit, putting him in a select group of players.

In spite of Francisco Vásquez's achievement, his Arecibo Lobos went down in defeat to the Naguabo Navegadores, 13-4.

On his milestone day, the 33-year-old center fielder registered 2 hits in 4 at-bats.

In his career, Vásquez has racked up 1501 hits with a .243 average and .313 on-base percentage. His numbers include 244 doubles, 124 triples, and 12 home runs, along with 773 runs scored and 458 RBIs.
