Behind an impressive start by Wilfredo Arias, Aguadilla beat Guaynabo, 3-2. Arias, who is tied for 6th in the LB in complete games with 18, went the distance for Aguadilla. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Colmillos.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Aguadilla third baseman Curtis Zahorchak, facing Evaristo Rodríguez, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Colmillos the 3-2 win.
"Wilfredo -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Colmillos manager Mauricio Reyes. "He was the key to us winning."
