Guest Excels, But Ingenieros Win
|
The Juana Diaz Reyes could not turn a fine performance from left fielder Conor Guest into a win. Instead, the Rincon Ingenieros prevailed, 7-2. Guest hit 2 home runs. The loss makes Juana Diaz 85-55.
Rincon used the timely hitting of Hipólito Vega to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Ingenieros on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Vega.
