The game between Arecibo and Juncos is in the books, despite a little rain.
Arecibo turned a good performance from starting pitcher Murodali Karomatullo into a 6-1 triumph over the Juncos Valencianos at Coliseo Luis Morales. In 8 innings, Karomatullo surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 0 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run.
Arecibo used a well-timed hit by Juan Luján to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Lobos ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Lobos manager Alrigo García.
The Lobos raised their record to 52-90.
