Culebra and Guanica got after it at El Recóndito.

Guanica got a decent performance from pitcher Oscar González, but it wasn't enough to beat the Culebra Tortugas. Culebra won the El Recóndito contest, 5-4. González threw 8.0 innings allowing 5 runs for the losing team. The Tortugas go to 64-78, putting them second in the Liga Hostos Archipiélago.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 3rd and two out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when first baseman Clodovindo Armendáriz reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run. The Tortugas went on to win.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Armendáriz.
