Dulceros Show Nerve in Tight 8-7 Win
The Yabucoa Dulceros knocked off the San Sebastian Pepinos, 8-7, at Estadio Teodosio Martínez. Guillermo Martín was a big reason Yabucoa won. The second baseman was 4-6 with a double and 3 singles. Melchor Alvarado picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 8-7. Gervasio Torres suffered the loss. The Dulceros are now 81-65, while the Pepinos fall to 82-63.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Yabucoa third baseman Jesús Osorio, facing Gervasio Torres, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Dulceros the 8-7 win.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Martín.
