Dulceros Improve to 74-70 with 6-3 Win

The rain came, as predicted, but the Yabucoa Dulceros and Humacao Milagrosos were able to complete their ballgame.
The Yabucoa Dulceros racked up a win at Estadio de Yabucoa, bumping off the Humacao Milagrosos, 6-3. Ryan Burrell, who started for Yabucoa, pitched effectively for his team. Burrell, now 18-15, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs.
In the bottom of the fifth, with Yabucoa leading 2-1, Mario González hit a fastball from Pedro Medina for a 2-run single, giving the Dulceros the lead, 4-1.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said González. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
The loss makes Humacao 48-93.
