Valencianos Post 3-2 Win Over Lajas

Juncos and Lajas played a hard-fought contest.
Domingo Villalobos, who is a three-time All-Star, pitched well, but the Lajas Marcianos still fell short, losing, 3-2, to the Juncos Valencianos at Plaza Cósmica de Lajas. Their 55-91 record puts the Valencianos third in the Liga Betances El Yunque.
Juncos used the hitting of Dave Lightheart to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Valencianos on top, 3-0. For the game, Lightheart had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Every loss stings," said Lajas manager Luis Martínez. "This one is no exception."
