Rincon Slaps 2-1 Loss on Quesiteros

Isabela got a terrific performance from pitcher Martín Magallanes, but it wasn't enough to beat the Rincon Ingenieros. Rincon won the Estadio Municipal de Isabela contest, 2-1. Magallanes threw 8.0 innings allowing 2 runs for the losing team. Luis González was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was 34-year old right-handed pitcher Martín Magallanes. With the win, Rincon boosts its record to 2-2.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Douggie Knights? The Rincon designated hitter had a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Ingenieros on top, 2-1. For the game, Knights had 1 double and 2 singles in 3 at-bats.
"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Isabela manager Senén Pérez. "We just didn't cash in."
