Patillas picked up a win at Campo Atletico de San Benito, bumping off the Aguadilla Colmillos, 4-1. Pitcher René Calva was a major reason the Cuervos emerged victorious. Patillas, now 79-66, holds down second place in the Liga Betances Sureste.

Carlos León had an important at-bat. With one out in the bottom of the fifth, he hit a 2-run double. His 18th double of the season put Patillas on top, 4-1.

"Even if things get a little hairy, René trusts his ability," said Patillas manager Jonás López.
