The home team gave the crowd some walk-off drama.

Pedro Muñiz added some punch to the Jayuya offense, helping them outmuscle the Carolina Tumbabrazos, 8-7. In the game, Muñiz, who finished 4th in the LH in home runs with 11 in 1909, went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4. Fernando Serafín, 9-6, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings.

Édgar Solorzano was the walk-off hero for Jayuya. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cerros center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Solorzano said in his postgame press conference.

Jayuya, now 68-80, holds down second place in the Liga Hostos Cordillera Oeste.
