San Sebastian and Humacao duked it out and the Pepinos came out victorious.

The San Sebastian Pepinos downed the Humacao Milagrosos, 3-0, at Coliseo Báquides Linares. Starring for San Sebastian was pitcher Hansel Macías. Macías, the winner, moves to 7-4. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks. Adriel Cisneros earned the save for San Sebastian, his 1st.

The Pepinos got an important contribution from left fielder Ireneo Gutiérrez, who in the top of the second hit a fastball to right-center for a run-scoring triple. It was his 8th triple of the season and put the Pepinos ahead, 2-0.

"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Gutiérrez told the San Sebastian Daily. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."

With the win over Humacao, the Pepinos improved to 79-64.
