Starting pitcher Roy Robertson gave the Loiza Vejigantes a rock-solid performance, helping them defeat the Mayaguez Capitanes, 3-2, in 11 innings. Loiza is third in the Liga Hostos Metro Este with a record of 55-90.

The Vejigantes got a clutch hit from designated hitter Bannon Quinton. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Vejigantes.
