Naranjito Triumphs with Late Surge
The Naranjito Brillantes electrified the home crowd with a walk-off win.

Naranjito turned a fine outing from starter Telégono Soto into a victory over the Jayuya Cerros at Parque de los Brillantes. The final score was 1-0. Naranjito reliever Segundo Peña picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Hayuya Marqués took the loss.

The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the ninth when Adelino Vásquez hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old left-handed pitcher Hayuya Marqués to win the game for Naranjito. The home crowd went wild.

"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Luis Torres.

The third-place Brillantes go to 61-82.
