The Sabana Grande Tejedores scooped up a win at Estadio Israel "Sabio" García, dumping the Toa Alta Poetas, 4-1. Miguel Ramírez was essential to his team's success. Pedro Huerta, who is a two-time All-Star, nailed down the save. With this game in the books, Sabana Grande is 73-74, Toa Alta 89-58.
With two out in the top of the seventh, Sevak Matevosyan had a game-changing hit. The Tejedores center fielder slammed a 2-run single off Tomás Bermudes, making the score 4-1, Sabana Grande.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Matevosyan said in reaction to the win.
