Hearn Delivers Walk-Off Win for Brillantes
The Naranjito Brillantes defeated the Juana Diaz Reyes, 8-7, at Parque de los Brillantes. Rafael Cabrera, who finished 5th in the LH in hits with 204 in 1904, was a standout performer for Naranjito. His 2 hits included 1 single and 1 double -- this in addition to the 3 runs he scored and 3 he knocked in. Joey Chappell snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits over 3 innings. He's now 2-0 on the season. Naranjito goes to 62-84, Juana Diaz to 88-59.

Merlin Hearn was the walk-off hero for Naranjito. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Brillantes left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Hearn told the Naranjito Citizen. "But we take nothing for granted."
