Adjuntas took on Fajardo in front of a lively crowd.
Adjuntas pitcher Alfie Monaghan did his part in helping his team defeat the Fajardo Insolentes, 3-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The Santos now have a record of 56-93.
Graeme Byford had the most critical at-bat for Adjuntas. With two in the top of the ninth inning, Byford hit a full count curveball from Abilio Rivera for a run-scoring single. It put Adjuntas in front, 3-2.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Byford.
