Corceles Win, Spilling Rebeldes, 2-1

Santa Isabel starter Gedeón Galván pitched well against the Moca Rebeldes at Estadio Cresencio Rodríguez. The right-hander led his team to a win, 2-1. Galván got the win, improving to 16-20. He gave up 9 hits and walked 4 over 8.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Juan Leyva closed it out for Santa Isabel, earning his 5th save.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Corceles had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the fourth, when left fielder Crisanto Torres hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Matt Gilley and made the score 2-0, Corceles. Torres went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
"It was a solid team effort," said Galván after the game.
The second-place Corceles now have a record of 73-82.
