Caneros Earn 4-3 Road Win Over Lajas

Vega Baja met Lajas in a late-season showdown.
Dalmacio Nájar, who is tied for 8th in the LB in quality starts with 33, pitched well, but the Lajas Marcianos still fell short, losing, 4-3, to the Vega Baja Caneros at Plaza Cósmica de Lajas. The first-place Caneros sport a record of 84-66.
Vega Baja took the lead in the top of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, Nehemías Luna stroked a 2-run single to make it 4-2, Caneros.
"I was a little disappointed," said Lajas manager Nicasio Carrillo. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
